King Abdullah II of Jordan
The people of Jordan have a great respect and love for their king. Homes, businesses, cars and streets are adorned with the image of their smiling leader or the crown of royalty.
On all my travels around the globe by the far the friendliest people I have ever encountered were in Jordan; as they will often invite you into their home for food and make extreme generous gestures.
I feel like King Abdullah’s reign has a lot to do with the peace and general happiness of the locals and it makes it a place I would thoroughly recommend for a destination to visit.
Passing through from Jordan Airport to Israel our Cab driver drove my partner and I for an hour and a half and stopped along the way to buy us snacks and refreshments to make us feel welcome even though it was Ramadan period for him and he was fasting. After a lot of convincing he finally accepted payments for our trip while giving a portion of money to the designated cab driver who drove us through from the check point to the passport control and border terminal.
This is Jordan. The untold story of great people, rich history and amazing tradition.
